Qualitative Marketing Software Inc. (www.qmsoft.com), a Clearwater, Fla., provider of dataquality and dataenhancement technology for enterprise and e-commercesolutions, last week announced Centrus CIO- XML, the first addressdata quality solution that incorporates theXML software language standardthat allows for more efficient publishing of consumer and businessdata over the Web.

The new version ofWeb-enabled data quality and dataenhancement technology from QMSoft lets small tolarge companies integratethe Centrus brand into their E-Commerce, CallCenter and CRM applications in order to get toknow their customers better.

Centrus CIO-XML (version 2.0 ofCentrus CIO) is a real-time address data quality, enhancement, record matching, spatial analysis and demographic data solution for intelligently managing callcenter, e- commerce and point-of-salecustomer interactions. It isscheduled to ship in early 1Q 2000.

The introduction of CIO-XML by QMSoft comes at a time when e-commerce andcustomer relationship management IT executivesrank improving the quality of customer data their No. 1technology priority heading into the next millennium,according to a recent survey conducted by InformationWeek.

With CIO/XML, IT professionalsand database marketing managers canintegrate multiple data sources. QMSofthosts data sources such as household and business datafiles, Claritas Demographics, GDT DynaMap200 streets, flood maps, taxmaps, and more. The softwarealso helps reduce long-term maintenance andoperating costs by eliminating the need for multipleand duplicative hardware and software.

CIO-XML offers a platform independent interface,allowing it to beimplemented and used in a varietyof computer systems,including a remote user's palm-top organizer.CIO-XML servers will be available on NT. Any platformthat can talk HTML can use theservice. QMSoft will also supply client components that handlethe XML and the communications inJava, ActiveX/COM, as wellas C/C++ for NT, Solaris,HP/UX, IBM AIX and Compaq Tru64.
